Our Story

Our story begins in the heart of Turin in 1861, thanks to the entrepreneurial genius of Riccardo Ferrero. In that year, just as the Kingdom of Italy was born, Vermouth Gran Torino came into being and was honored with License number 3, signifying its significant role. It wasn't long before the Ferrero family secured their position as the official supplier to the House of Savoy, the Royal Family of Italy.

Crafted from Piedmontese white grapes and enriched with carefully selected aromatic herbs and spices, our Vermouth rapidly gained global acclaim, solidifying its status as an iconic symbol of Italian excellence. Even today, the secret recipe remains at the core of our production, guarded zealously, while our establishment, deeply rooted in Turin, maintains its authenticity as a place where tradition thrives.

Our commitment to quality and the preservation of tradition are values we proudly uphold through the decades. The history of the Ferrero family and Gran Torino is a tale of passion, entrepreneurial spirit, and success that continues to inspire generations of vermouth lovers worldwide.

aperitivo

The perfect and essential ingredient for many sparkling and refreshing drinks to be enjoyed during the ‘aperitif’ time in Italy’s buzzing cafes and bars. Traditionally mixed with soda, tonic, or prosecco before an evening meal, it has become an iconic product that can also be consumed at home all day long. Low in alcohol, pleasantly citrusy, and slightly bitter, it is a light aperitif that owes its flavors and aromas to sweet and bitter oranges, herbal notes, and a touch of vanilla.
